Story
On the island of the haves and the have-nots, teenager John B enlists his three best friends to search for a legendary treasure linked to his father’s disappearance. Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline and their "OBX" colleagues quiz each other on the best lines from their popular Netflix series.. Filmed on location in Charleston, South Carolina; it was originally supposed to be filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina.
This show is ridiculously unrealistic, but I don’t care
It’s obviously not supposed to be the most serious show ever, so I’m totally fine with it being completely over the top. The main actors are very pleasing to the eye and do a pretty decent job with their acting (nothing special of course). The actors are too old for the roles they play, until Sarah said she was only 16 I wasn’t sure how old they were supposed to be.
But be that as it may, it is nothing new
Casting age-appropriate actors is super hard, so I can’t really deduct points for that. I’m not completely finished yet, but so far it’s fun, fast, enjoyable. Edit: After the end of the series JEDVA KATAT season 2.
Netflix, you’ve done it again!
She got SO much better with each episode, and honestly, in the end, this felt like a really quality production, and it’s a really good setup for a potential second season. What impressed me the most was how well the dialogue was written, it was really believable. If you can ignore the fact that they don’t look like 16 year olds at all, they definitely act like a bunch of stupid 16 year olds.
