In Ranchi, before the neighborhood was demolished
Story
Agatha Harkness, bound by a spell, regains her freedom thanks to the help of a teenager. Intrigued by her appeal, he leaves the witches' Road tests to regain his strength and discover the motives of the teenager. Stars Kathryn Hahn, Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Debra Jo Rupp and Ali Ann, along with showrunner Jac Schaeffer and executive producer Mary Livanos, share how they prepared for the Marvel show. Westview’s exterior scenes were filmed on Blondie Street for Warner Bros.
The set was previously used in Wandavision
Agatha lives in the house used in the TV series Bewitched (1964). Edited as part of Marvel Studios: Assembled: The Making of Agatha All Along (2024). I came to Agatha All Along with no preconceived ideas or research into the backstory. So it wasn’t until I was deep in and watching Episode 6 (?) that I realized it had a connection to the Marvel Cinematic Universe – specifically WandaVision.
I felt cheated and bullied
Well, after I was engaged in Agatha All Along, I stopped it and had to watch WandaVission. While WandaVision has a critical element as Agatha All Along’s backstory, it’s pretty tangential (and – IMO – much less of a show than Agatha All Along). show credit. The acting is excellent in every way, and Hahn plays the role of Agatha.
And it doesn’t unduly detract from the overall presentation
The series have an original point of view as the show progresses. Above all, the trials and tribulations of the characters and their growth are well done. The show maintains an engaging, grown-up story, none of the usual sugarcoating where all ends well in the end. While I don’t think the connection to the MCU was necessary, it is what it is.
Whose transformation is your favorite?
I’d probably watch a second season if it’s coming out. See some of our favorite superheroes dressed up and incognito.
