Superman and Lois is the best DC CW show outside of Arrow. Tyler Hoechlin is so much better than I expected as Superman and Clark Kent. They probably could've cast a better Lois though, Elizabeth Tulloch is just not a good Lois Lane and looks much older than her age for some reason.
This is a Superman show unlike any that's ever been made, it focuses a lot more on his family and his personal life than we've ever seen. I didn't think I would like that part of the show as much but I do, they make it very interesting and of course all the scenes with him as Superman are amazing. I definitely recommend this show to any superhero fan.

Mr. Sheridan knows how to transport us into testosterone-fueled, macho worlds without clichés and seemingly no agenda. It is what it is.
His characters are always down-to-earth, and he is extremely adept at casting. But to be great, you have to write good parts for women. The writing has to be as good, if not better, than the men. Guys are simple. Women are smarter, more complex. Beth on Yellowstone (great character and performance), Barrel Riders, the lone female ranch hand (played by a fantastic Jen Landon Teeter) – all great female characters who fit into the world of the story in a natural, effortless way.
They are strong and compelling. Not just a ‘partner…’ or T & A. He stepped up his game with the great character Faith Hill, who was forced into "1883" followed by Dame Mirren in the incendiary release that was "1923". Now we have Zoe Saldana, who is doing some of the best work of her career. I definitely buy her as the CIA boss in an open marriage (nice touch). I buy De Oliveira as a broken woman with a burning anger that won’t quit, and thank you, thank you, thank you to the writers/directors/producers for NOT letting her get the best of a soldier man with an extra one…
Truth first! I think her character is much more interesting if she’s someone who needs to be knocked out cold or simply pinned to the ground before she quits. Now let’s talk about Jill Wagner or should I say her hair? What about her face! From schmaltzy Hallmark dreck to super-badass SWAT? Special note: Ms.
Lanier as a naughty teenage daughter. I’m looking forward to this loose canon arc as long as they continue to avoid the clichés of teenage angst.

Referenced in Korman Productions Deep Dive TV Podcast: Earth Abides on MGM+ Deep Dive Episode 1 “Alone” with Dave and Stacie (2024). Normally, the first episode would be a decent episode, but not here, which is especially bad since it’s about a global pandemic seemingly wiping out civilization. He’s only been gone for three weeks, going by what’s been said, but it feels like months or even a year with the way everyone talks and acts.
It starts off by introducing him as a grounded guy who likes to be alone, living off the grid. Judging by the cover image, what are the chances that when he meets her she’ll be a strong, independent woman who doesn’t need a man, but he can follow her around like a lost puppy. I really don’t see where the entertainment is going to come from here if there’s barely anyone left and there’s no infected threat like 28 Days Later.
This episode was just the survivors whining about being alive. Maybe there are textbook slave traders (probably Christians made to look bad) looking to start a new world order and they have to escape them? One Hundred Years of Solitude is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
