Story

Charles, a retired man, gets a new lease on life when he answers an ad from a private detective and becomes a mole in an undercover investigation at a nursing home. Michael Schur was inspired to create A Man On the Inside after watching a Chilean documentary, “The Mole.” He says, “The Mole” documentary is powerful because it makes people feel something remarkably similar, regardless of age, ethnicity, or gender, and I would describe that feeling in a very reduced way as “I need to call my mom.” In our show, we tried to do something similar with the tone: In general, does our show contribute to that feeling that makes us want to call our moms?
These actors get better with age and are great in this sweet comedy series!
I’m 67 years old and it was so wonderful to see so many of our generation of actors and their great comedic styles. The script gets a little lost trying to solve the mystery, and it gets more in-depth with the character storylines.
It’s really not a mystery
That’s good because you have a pretty good idea who the culprit is about halfway through. You don’t mind that it’s not really a mystery because you’re just having fun watching these golden old people work and show off their stuff.

Just a tribute to how brave it is to be a senior citizen and still be active and feel noticed in our youth-oriented society. What a sweet tribute to those who support us and help us navigate the minefields of aging, this series was.

A grief counselor begins telling his clients exactly what he thinks, and by ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge changes in people’s lives — including his own. When asked how they got Harrison Ford to join the show, Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel, and Bill Lawrence said that Goldstein originally wanted someone who was a “Harrison Ford type” and was going to audition for people who looked like Ford.

Segel told Goldstein that they had to at least pitch it to Ford first, thinking that he would reject it outright, but at least other people would hear that Harrison Ford had been featured in the project, which had piqued the interest of other big-name actors. Goldstein still doesn’t understand what he did to convince him, but he was happy about it nonetheless.

Partly because I found it to be grounded in reality, about a therapist who needs therapy and wants to get through to his patients in order to unexpectedly overcome his own issues. I also respect the way it’s presented – he’s not doing something other therapists are supposed to do, and that’s pretty clear.
The show isn’t for everyone
He hasn’t gotten into the goofy situations of other shows like Loot, but it’s still early in the series and I’ll keep watching. That said, I like the depth of the characters, and they don’t feel like caricatures; they’re people I’d like to get to know.

The world’s most famous superhero and comic book’s most famous journalist face the pressures and complexities that come with balancing work, justice and parenthood in today’s society. Superman and Booster Lois Lois may seem completely separate from the rest of the Arrowverse, but that’s just as likely to be a selling point for many viewers. The only thing we can hope for from this series is that it remains a balanced mix of genres, but not a soap opera like the others on the CW.
I really hope the writing and plot remains creative and entertaining
However, the first episode is really nice and that intense cinematography gives a touch of Man of Steel mixed with Smallville.

From the previews, I thought this was going to be terrible. I’ve only watched the first episode and was surprised at how enjoyable it was.
Kind of a Spielberg-style Star Wars
I have high hopes for this one. It may be aimed at kids, but I still appreciate that style of storytelling at my advanced age.
There’s even a little social commentary
The first episode was fun and engaging, and flowed well, and it didn’t take itself too seriously. So far, this is the second best series behind Endor, but that could change with more episodes.

Story
Copenhagen 1919: A young worker finds himself unemployed and pregnant. A strong connection grows, but his world is shattered when he stumbles upon the shocking truth behind his work. Denmark’s official submission for the ‘Best International Feature Film’ category at the 97th Academy Awards in 2025. It’s the final days of the Great War and Karoline barely has time to work at the factory.
A lot happens during the film
She believes she is a widow because her husband disappeared during the war (although Denmark did not actually participate in it), but she does not receive widow’s benefits because he is not listed as dead. and I don’t want to go into spoilers, so I won’t go into the plot, except that the marketing highlights something that doesn’t play as big a role in the film as one might expect. Although it gets a lot of attention in the latter half of the film, for me the real value of the film is the sense of reality surrounding Karoline’s story. When was the last time someone in a movie tried to get a potential tenant to take an apartment by telling them they could get running water for two hours a day (from ten to noon, which might not be a big sell since most people would be working during those hours)?
When was the rampant drug use of the era portrayed so openly?
Even what Dagmar does was relatively common back then, although I would venture to guess that the trend is on the decline at the moment, and it doesn’t happen as much as it used to. I actually might have enjoyed the movie more if the marketing had been different and Dagmar wasn’t brought up because it set expectations. While Dagmar is an important character, the movie is clearly about Karoline and her struggles. On the other hand, it’s hard to say how I would have felt seeing the name Dagmar Overby on the door if I hadn’t known in advance that this real-life person was being used in the movie.
I like the look of the film
(It’s worth noting that the film is inspired by real-life events rather than based on them, so they try to maintain a certain distance from the real Dagmar.) I feel like some viewers will have a hard time sympathizing with Karoline, because she sometimes seems to make the right decision a little too late. At the same time, there’s not that much time or opportunity for ethics when you’re just trying to survive in a world where the odds are stacked against you. On the other hand, even though we know that the hope she’s given would be futile in this world, we still understand why she gives it to him. It’s in black and white, and the entire city looks run-down and barely holding up.
Have things really changed that much?
It reminds us of the lack of interest in, or even contempt for, the well-being of working people. The time depicted took place over a hundred years ago, but the concept of a woman’s bodily autonomy is once again under constant attack. Of course, all art is in some way a mirror of the time in which it was made, but the similarities are easier to see here.

Story
