Agatha lives in the house used in the TV series Bewitched (1964). Edited as part of Marvel Studios: Assembled: The Making of Agatha All Along (2024). I came to Agatha All Along with no preconceived ideas or research into the backstory. So it wasn’t until I was deep in and watching Episode 6 (?) that I realized it had a connection to the Marvel Cinematic Universe – specifically WandaVision.

I felt cheated and bullied

Well, after I was engaged in Agatha All Along, I stopped it and had to watch WandaVission. While WandaVision has a critical element as Agatha All Along’s backstory, it’s pretty tangential (and – IMO – much less of a show than Agatha All Along). show credit. The acting is excellent in every way, and Hahn plays the role of Agatha.

And it doesn’t unduly detract from the overall presentation

The series have an original point of view as the show progresses. Above all, the trials and tribulations of the characters and their growth are well done. The show maintains an engaging, grown-up story, none of the usual sugarcoating where all ends well in the end. While I don’t think the connection to the MCU was necessary, it is what it is.

Whose transformation is your favorite?

I’d probably watch a second season if it’s coming out. See some of our favorite superheroes dressed up and incognito.

Story

CIA operative Joe tries to balance his personal and professional life as the tip of the spear in the agency’s war on terror. Real-life military advisors helped create a more authentic execution of weapon handling, house clearing, positioning, squad-based activity, etc… Featured in Premios Soberano (2024). If you like the genre, you’ll love this one because it’s as much about the adrenaline and intrigue as it is about the real life issues that everyday people go through. It was refreshing to see things one could relate to in the midst of it all. Finally, I was also pleased with the unexpected plot twists and how one cannot predict how certain situations will turn out; on the contrary, as I would find myself hoping for the stereotypical when it would really defeat the purpose. I really hope they make a season 2. All the characters are top notch and I would love to see how they develop the story.

David Cronenberg’s latest theatrical offering, “The Shrouds,” got me wondering about a burning question: Did Elon Musk finance it as a 2-hour Tesla commercial, or was it just a happy accident?

If this sounds familiar, that’s because Cronenberg has done it all before (voyeurism, obsession with death) – only much better, with less gadgetry and more substance

🤑 In a plot that itself sounds like a well-used shroud, Karsh, an innovative businessman (read: Tesla enthusiast), builds a device to contact the dead in funeral shrouds.

The film moves through themes of grief, technology, and of course the obligatory dystopian future with evil Russians/Chinese

All the while you wonder why any of this needs to exist in 2024, if not to remind us that data security should be taken seriously.

Ultimately, The Shrouds might just remind us how much better Cronenberg’s early work was – or maybe how much we all need a Tesla
