Story
Under a burning sky, on the roadside of the Ceará coast, Motel Destino is the scene of dangerous games of desire, power and violence. One night, the arrival of the young Heraldo changes the daily life of the place forever. Directed by Karim Aïnouz, the film offers a mix of desire, love and crime in a story that follows the young Heraldo’s search for refuge in a motel on the beach, where he soon finds himself immersed in unexpected situations where erotic and power tensions arise while hiding from the gangsters who are tracking him. It is a film about what fate offers these characters, who seem to defy their own destiny more than once. In Heraldo, the motel owners Dayana and Elias find not only a young boy they like and are ready to help, but also a seed that will blossom in the face of unexpected challenges in their lives.
